Drunk in love: I Embrace ME!

Shaw Photography Group“I fully embrace ME!. I’m comfortable with who I am and open to who I am to become” Lisa H. Thomas

When you reach a certain age, I think you just give up on trying to be anything other than yourself, right? Well, maybe. My older colleagues might say, “well, yeah, of course!” Except some of them are still trying to portray themselves as something they’re not to get ahead, to avoid looking bad, to look good, make the sale, gain access, do the deal, you name it. The need to please, keep the peace, manipulate the situation by hiding the truth or pretending to be something or someone you’re not runs deep no matter what age. I think if we all were to look deep enough, we’d find a dirty secret no one knows, that we hope no one ever finds out. The hard core truth is we all have one and it doesn’t matter who finds out. The only person that matters is you. If you can tell yourself the truth, the rest  …well, who gives a…..

Things happen with ease when the stars are aligned. And the only way to align the stars of life is through your authentic truth. You must acknowledge, honor and accept the dirty nasty truth about yourself, just as you would the glorious celebratory parts of who you are. A better question is : Whatcha got to gain?

I am proud to be in a space of comfort with me. I embrace all of it. I’m comfortable with who I am, and who I am not. And excited, turned on and thrilled about who I’m to become! Makes me hot just thinking about it.

I guess you could say, I’m drunk in love with this chic named Lisa Thomas, and Beyonce ain’t got nothing on me!!! :-)…
